Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water

It's a first for this blog, a wild leap into the world of beauty blogging. I thought i'd start off with the basics. Being someone who doesn't have unlimited funds, but who also has a relatively keen interest in beauty/hygiene related products - i'm always on the lookout for cheap dupes of trusted (but expensive) products. However, as someone who also reads a lot of beauty related blogs, I have all too often fallen into the trap of buying a much hyped product and then ended up disappointed. Therefore, i've held out on reporting back on this one. It was much hyped around it's release date but I decided to give it a thorough try before recommending/dissuading anyone from spending hard earned cash on it.

As you can see from the photo, half my bottle is gone. Given that i've had this for at least 2-3 months and used it pretty much every day, the product is staying pretty close to it's '200 uses' claim. In short, it's a great product. Definitely more efficient than any make-up removing wipe i've ever come across and serves the dual purpose of providing that extra bit of hydration for your skin without leaving a residue as it's both oil free and fragrance free. I have quite sensitive skin and this allows me to remove my make-up without causing any irritation, redness or stinging. If i'm wearing a full face of make-up it'll take two cotton pads to remove everything - a feat. rivaled only by the infamous Bioderma; however, at a quarter of the price this one is definitely a new firm favourite. Get it at Boots for £3.99. (they even have sneaky 2 for 1 offers from time to time...)

If you're wondering why you'd pay £3.99 for a bottle of water, or just want to geek out on the science behind micellar waters/cleansers then there's a great post here.
